1. Uphold Community Guidelines

  • Monitor group activity to ensure members follow platform and group rules

  • Take immediate action against inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content

2. Foster a Supportive Environment

  • Encourage respectful, helpful discussions

  • Welcome new members and promote active participation

3. Moderate Content & Behavior

  • Approve or decline member requests and posts if needed

  • Remove spam, misleading, or irrelevant posts

  • Warn or remove members who violate rules

4. Maintain Group Purpose

  • Ensure the group stays aligned with its intended mission (e.g., location-specific relocation help, service coordination, cultural guidance)

  • Prevent misuse of the group for unrelated advertising or off-topic content

5. Respond Promptly

  • Address member concerns and questions in a timely, respectful manner

  • Reply to messages or notices from platform moderators/admins

6. Keep Group Information Updated

  • Maintain accurate descriptions, images, rules, and contact information for the group

  • Ensure all linked services or resources remain active and appropriate

Admin Powers

As a designated admin, you are granted the following powers within your group:

  • Manage Membership: Approve, decline, or remove members

  • Control Posting Settings: Decide whether posts require admin approval

  • Moderate Discussions: Edit or delete posts and comments that violate guidelines

  • Report Issues: Flag users, content, or technical problems directly to the platform team

Admin Misconduct

Admins who:

  • Abuse their power,

  • Fail to moderate harmful content,

  • Use the group for personal or commercial gain without authorization, or

  • Violate platform-wide policies

may be warned, suspended, or removed from their role, and their group may be subject to review or termination.

Best Practices for Admins

  • Be consistent and fair in applying group rules

  • Encourage member contributions and diverse perspectives

  • Share helpful resources and updates regularly

  • Monitor group performance and adjust strategy as needed
