Group Creator Guidelines
Effective Date: Jan 1 2026 Last Updated: June 25 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to the Outplore relocation community. These Group Creator Guidelines (“Guidelines“) apply to any registered user who creates or manages a group (“Group Creator,” “you“) on the Outplore platform (“Platform“).
These Guidelines are in addition to — and must be read alongside — our [Terms of Use], [Community Guidelines], and [Privacy Policy], all of which are incorporated by reference. If there is any conflict between these Guidelines and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use govern. By creating or managing a group, you agree to all of them. If you do not agree, do not create or manage a group.
2. Eligibility
Any registered Outplore user — whether an Individual, Family, Professional, Contributor, or Company account — may create a group, provided you:
- are at least 18 years old with your account in good standing;
- provide accurate, current profile information; and
- comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
3. Your Role: Volunteer Moderator, Not an Outplore Agent
As a Group Creator, you act entirely on your own behalf as a volunteer. You are not an employee, contractor, agent, partner, or representative of Outplore Inc., and you may not speak, act, or make commitments on Outplore’s behalf or imply that you do. Outplore is not responsible for your acts or omissions as a Group Creator, and you remain solely responsible for how you run your group and for any co-moderators you appoint.
4. Creating and Running a Group
Content ownership and license. You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting it, you grant Outplore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, and distribute that content to operate and promote the Platform, consistent with the [Terms of Use].
Group purpose. Your group must support the Platform’s mission of helping people relocate and settle into their new home. Groups can be created and led by anyone — service providers, members actively planning a move, people who have already settled and want to share what they’ve learned, or anyone who simply wants to volunteer their knowledge and help others through the relocation journey. Groups created for purposes unrelated to relocation and settlement — or that exist primarily to promote the Group Creator’s own services — are not permitted. Specifically, groups may not be created or used to:
- campaign for political parties, candidates, or ideologies;
- promote or facilitate gambling, betting, or games of chance;
- spread racial, ethnic, or any other form of discriminatory content;
- support, recruit for, or glorify terrorism, violent extremism, or hate groups;
- directly advertise or solicit business for the Group Creator’s own services or those of affiliated parties without clear disclosure; or
- pursue any ideological, or other purpose unrelated to helping people relocate and settle, including promoting businesses or services that have no connection to relocation or settling into a new community.
Groups found to violate these purposes may be restricted or removed.
Your own group rules. You may set additional rules specific to your group, but they must always be consistent with these Guidelines and the [Community Guidelines]. Group-specific rules may impose additional restrictions beyond our standards, but may not permit anything that our guidelines prohibit. Group rules must be clearly visible to members.
Moderation. You are responsible for managing your group’s day-to-day discussions, keeping interactions respectful and on-topic, and reporting violations promptly to Outplore.
5. Group Creator Responsibilities
You agree to:
- maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members;
- keep content relevant to relocation, moving services, expat life, or community support;
- respond to member questions and concerns in a reasonable timeframe;
- actively monitor for and report rule violations, spam, harmful content, and abuse;
- take reasonable steps to protect members, including minors who may be present, from harmful or age-inappropriate content; and
- remain responsible for any co-moderators you appoint and their actions within your group.
6. Protection of Minors
Although Outplore requires users to be 18 or older, we recognize that group content may at times be encountered by younger users. As a Group Creator you must not post or knowingly allow content in your group that:
- is unsuitable for minors, including sexually explicit, violent, or exploitative material;
- is designed to solicit, contact, or target minors; or
- could facilitate harm to a child.
Report any such content to support@outplore.com immediately. Consistent with our child-safety obligations and updated DSA guidelines on minors (published July 2025), Outplore may take immediate action — including removal of content and accounts — without prior notice where child safety is at risk.
7. Handling Member Information
Running a group may give you visibility into other members’ profiles and activity. You must:
- use member information only within the Platform and only for the purpose of running the group;
- not harvest, export, sell, or otherwise misuse member data;
- not message members off-Platform or contact them for purposes unrelated to the group without their clear consent; and
- handle all information consistently with our [Privacy Policy] and applicable data-protection law.
If you independently collect or use members’ personal information outside the Platform, you may have your own obligations as a data controller under applicable law, and you are solely responsible for meeting them.
8. Prohibited Activities
The following are not permitted:
- Group spamming — creating duplicate, similar, or irrelevant groups, or using the group feature to artificially inflate visibility or engagement.
- Misleading or harmful content — fraudulent, deceptive, unverified, or dangerous claims.
- Unrelated commercial promotion — excessive marketing or sales unrelated to relocation.
- Harmful conduct — enabling or allowing harassment, hate speech, illegal activity, misinformation, or extremist content.
- Unauthorized mass messaging — sending unsolicited or promotional messages to group members.
- Addictive or manipulative design — using features or tactics (such as reward schemes, manufactured urgency, or dark patterns) to manipulate member behavior or create compulsive engagement.
This list supplements, and does not replace, the prohibitions in the [Community Guidelines].
9. Outplore’s Oversight and Final Authority
Outplore may review groups and their content at any time and, where appropriate:
- override a moderation decision you have made;
- edit, hide, or remove content that violates these Guidelines or applicable law;
- restrict, merge, archive, or permanently close a group — including groups that are inactive, that pose safety or legal risks, or that no longer serve the Platform’s mission — at any time and without requiring the Group Creator’s consent or prior notification. Upon closure or removal of a group, Outplore has no obligation to retain, preserve, or make available any group content, posts, or member-generated material. Group Creators and members are solely responsible for saving any content they wish to keep.
Where we remove or restrict your content or group, we will, where required by applicable law (including the EU Digital Services Act), provide you with a statement of reasons for our decision. Outplore retains final authority over all groups and content on the Platform.
10. Suspension, Termination, and Appeals
Grounds for action. We may suspend or remove your group and/or account if you:
- violate these Guidelines, the [Terms of Use], or the [Community Guidelines];
- repeatedly or seriously misuse the group creation or moderation feature;
- ignore administrative feedback or fail to address content concerns promptly; or
- breach applicable law or misuse member data.
Warnings. Consistent with applicable law and the DSA, we generally issue a warning before suspending an account for repeated violations, except where the violation is serious or where immediate action is needed to protect users or legal compliance. We also reserve the right to act without prior warning where, in our reasonable judgment, a Group Creator has demonstrated a pattern of failing to uphold these Guidelines or the [Community Guidelines], or where issuing a warning would not be sufficient to prevent further harm. Suspended Group Creators may be restricted from creating future groups.
Appeals. If you believe a moderation decision affecting your group was wrong, email support@outplore.com to appeal; we will review it and respond.
11. Intellectual Property
You are responsible for ensuring that all content posted in your group does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right. By posting content, you confirm you have all necessary rights and permissions. Copyright and IP complaints are handled as described in the [Terms of Use].
12. Privacy and Data
Outplore collects and processes information related to groups and group activity as described in our [Privacy Policy], including for safety, moderation, analytics, and service improvement.
13. Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnification
The Platform is provided “as is.” The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification provisions in the [Terms of Use] apply in full to your use of the group feature, including for content loss, member behavior, and technical issues. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Outplore Inc. from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your group, your content, your moderation decisions, or your breach of these Guidelines, to the extent set out in the Terms of Use.
14. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in law, enforcement priorities, or Platform policy. We will post the updated version with a new date and, for significant changes, provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the group feature after changes take effect means you accept the revised Guidelines.
